We have created our own exclusive collection of plus-size wedding dresses in Birmingham, covering a wide range of designers, styles, and budgets, all designed to flatter a fuller figure and accentuate those curves that need highlighting!

More than anything, it's important to be comfortable in your wedding dress. If you're not comfortable and your dress is ill-fitting, you're not going to feel or look confident and enjoy your special day. We also host regular, dedicated plus-size wedding dress events so that we can get even more styles into the boutique.

How to book an Appointment

Our boutique appointments are held with your own personal consultant. We do this so that you can rest assured of our full attention throughout the duration of your time with us. We are open by appointment only, seven days a week.

Please visit our contact page and fill out the form to make an appointment. We also offer ‘last-minute appointments, so please call us if you’re in a rush!

At Ava May Bridal we have two types of appointments

Standard

A standard appointment lasts up to 1.5 hours and is currently free of charge. Each bride may bring up to three guests with her, Covid dependant, and will have their own private fitting room and bridal consultant. A follow up appointment lasts up to an hour and is also free of charge.

Experience

If you want to make your bridal fitting a little more memorable, we are now offering exclusive use of our boutique for you and up to seven friends and family members, at our Birmingham bridal shop.

You’ll have an extended 3-hour appointment with drinks and nibbles.
This special experience costs just £50.

Find Your Dream Wedding Dress

We hope that you find your dream wedding dress with us. You can try as many wedding dresses as you want, but we usually say aim for between 5-7 to avoid going dress-blind!

We want to give you a perfect experience in choosing your wedding dress – our experienced bridal consultants are here to help you look and feel a million dollars on your big day. The choice is ultimately yours! We also offer a wonderful collection of bridal accessories, including tiaras and veils.

Since I was a little girl, I had always dreamed of owning my own wedding dress shop… although I wasn’t sure it would happen.

My career has taken me down some exciting paths, starting with my first foray into the world of weddings at the age of 15 when I worked as a bridal consultant.

Kyla

ASSISTANT MANAGER

Kyla has been a bridal consultant for ten years and what she doesn’t know about wedding dresses, isn’t worth knowing.

Kyla has a passion for life and an enthusiasm for her job that’s magnetic - be prepared to meet one of the loveliest people you could ever hope to encounter.

Sam

IN-HOUSE SEAMSTRESS

Sam has been a bridal seamstress for over 30 years. A very skilled seamstress with a keen eye to detail, if she can’t do it, it can’t be done!

Sam loves nothing more than a challenge and can add things, remove things, or even create something from scratch.
