My career has taken me down some exciting paths, starting with my first foray into the world of weddings at the age of 15 when I worked as a bridal consultant.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an Appointment? 

Yes. We are open by appointment only, 7 days a week. To make an appointment please go to our contact page and fill out the form. We also offer ‘last minute’ appointments so please call us if you’re in a rush!

How long do appointments last?

Standard appointments usually last 1-1.5 hours. Follow up appointments usually take up to an hour. Private appointments last up to 2 hours. Bridesmaids take up to 1 hour and accessories take 30 minutes. 

Do you charge for appointments?

We try not to charge for standard bridal appointments, reserving charges only for private appointments that offer exclusive use of the shop—an arrangement that requires us to turn away other brides. For out-of-hours or Sunday appointments, as well as for clients who have previously booked and cancelled more than once, a deposit may be required to secure your time.

Any deposit taken will be fully refunded against any dress purchase made during your appointment. A no-show or cancellation within 48 hours of the appointment will mean the deposit is nonrefundable.

How many dresses can I try on?

As many as you want but we usually say aim for between 5-7 to avoid going dress blind! Our team can help and recommend the best dresses for you, your body, and your taste, but the choice is ultimately yours!

Should I wear specific underwear?

You don’t need to wear anything specific for appointments – we will advise on what to have ready for alterations appointments.

Do I need to bring shoes with me?

Shoes aren’t necessary until your first alterations appointment.

How many people can I bring with me?

Due to the intimacy of the Chapel, we usually try to limit it to the bride plus three guests. If, however you request a private or ‘out of hours’ payable appointment, you may bring up to seven guests with you.

This allows us to still maintain social distancing where necessary and legally required (Covid rules dependent).

What if my budget is limited?

We have a budget friendly range in store and are also willing to sell sample dresses and stock dresses for a discounted price. We also offer interest free payment plans too!

Can I bring a bottle of bubbly with me?

All guests receive complementary bubbly as part of our private appointments option, but you may bring your own.

What if my dress needs altering?

We have an in-house seamstress and can discuss pricing options with you during your visit.

Can you keep my dress stored for me until I need it?

Unfortunately, we only have a very limited amount of storage space in our Chapel so your gown will need to be collected once it arrives in store – this is usually 4-6 months from the time of order. If you are desperate, we will store a few gowns depending upon space availability.

This is charged at £20 per month per item and must be paid for upfront. If your gown was purchased off the rack, then unfortunately we cannot store it as we just don’t have the space.
