I feel your pain

Hey ladies,

How are you all doing? Good I hope?

I know that many of you are struggling at the moment with the ever-changing new ‘norm’ that is the COVID nightmare, and I just wanted to let you know that I really do feel your pain. My partner and I were due to get married on May 7th this year but had to, like so many of you, cancel everything. Michael and I actually did have a ceremony in Bordeaux 4 years ago but never got to make it legal (that’s another story!) This was supposed to be the year we finally did it but fete - or Boris, intervened and here we are.

Over the next few months I’ll be sharing my experience of planning, scheduling and rearranging weddings with you. I’ve been married once before and also used to work as a wedding planner in America so I have a lot of experience haha!

The one thing that I will say now though, is to hold on tight to the reason you’re getting married - and remember it. You want to spend the rest of your life with this amazing person and they want to spend theirs with you too. It’s as simple and as beautiful as that.

The choice to wait until you can have more people there, or to just jump with everything you have and do it now, is yours and only yours. You will never please everyone with a wedding, so focus on pleasing you and your partner - because ultimately that’s all that matters.

If we can help along the way, then please just ask. I’ve certainly been there and we will get through this together ladies!

Lots of love and (healthy!) hugs, love Jen x
